• Trim the wick to about ¼ inch before each burn — this helps prevent soot and uneven flames.
• Let the wax melt edge-to-edge on the first burn to prevent tunneling and ensure an even melt pool.
• Burn for 2–4 hours at a time (depending on candle size). Burning too long can overheat the wax or vessel.
• Keep away from drafts — breezes from windows, fans, or vents can cause uneven burning or flickering.
• Never leave a candle unattended or burn it while sleeping.
• Burn on a heat-safe, stable surface to protect furniture and surfaces from heat or spills.
• Keep the wax pool free of debris like wick trimmings or matches.
• Extinguish with care — use a snuffer or dip the wick into the wax to avoid smoke.
• Allow the candle to fully cool before relighting or moving it.
• Stop burning when ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel to prevent overheating or breakage.
